Abstract

This article is the writer’s thought to understand that there is a process of education quality improvement by the government. This article will show a program framework that has been done by the education ministry. Freedom Curriculum is an important aspect to improve the quality of education, especially an independent learning for everyone. Teachers as the spearhead of learning process should have the competency as needed, so that the implementation of Freedom Curriculum will bring the improvement of education quality in Indonesia. Driving teacher education program is designed as a chance to improve teacher’s competency as a leader within the learning process. Driving teacher education program consists of learning process, doing workshop and ongoing personal guidance, resulting a teacher who is a reflective, collaborative, creative and innovative person that will deliver a student-centered learning. The profile of Driving teacher will be the main way to implement of Freedom Curriculum which brings the independent learning to all people.
